"Lanea changed my life after my first massage appointment with her, and after my second massage appointment last week, I have to write so you know how she’s impacted my life.
In June, I scheduled my first appointment with Lanea because I had been suffering from carpal tunnel-like pain for weeks. Prescription-strength ibuprofen wasn’t working, but I didn’t have much confidence in a massage therapist being able to help me because of poor arm massages in the past. I didn’t know what else to do, so I called and made an appointment. My expectations were very, very low.
As soon as I met Lanea, I felt hope. Lanea radiated warmth and she listened so diligently that I started thinking, “maybe she can help.” Lanea focused on my arms as requested. Her touch felt healing. She was gentle, yet firm, and massaged and stretched the EXACT places that were causing me pain. And after the massage – which was the BEST money I have spent in recent months – Lanea even showed me some stretches that targeted the areas, plus gave me a sample of BioFreeze.
Three days after my first massage, I was off the ibuprofen, and I was pain-free. Pain-free in three days! After fourteen months of pain (I know, I’m an idiot for not doing something sooner), with the several weeks before my massage consisting of shooting pain followed by numbness, thanks to Lanea’s expertise and the follow-up stretches she gave me, my quality of life improved. I was again able to pick up my young daughter without pain. My work schedule flowed better because I could work for longer periods of time, stretching appropriately (as Lanea taught) during breaks. I even slept better because I wasn’t waking up in the middle of the night with numb arms or shooting pains. Truly life-changing.
So last week I scheduled a relaxation massage with Lanea. Again, as soon as we met, her demeanor won me over again. I don’t know how Lanea does what she does, but last week’s massage was yet another amazing massage. Lanea is the best massage therapist I have ever come into contact with, and I say that after receiving massages spanning the last nine years. No one in Iowa or Nebraska holds a candle to Lanea. She is truly gifted.
When I read Lanea’s bio online, I was blown away by the extra courses she’s taken. Massage is clearly her love and her passion, and I feel so lucky that she’s shared that with me. Lanea has a gift and a healing touch. I will definitely be coming back and I’m recommending her ... to everyone I run into – I’m still raving about my experience."
